July 26, 1999.- QuadComm, Inc. is proud to announce the release of version 1.1 of Q-Shop, the complete storefront system that makes implementing a shop on-line easy.

There are many solutions for ecommerce on the Internet, but either they are very expensive or they are too complex or with few features.

In order to make the on-line shop deployment easy, QuadComm launched Q-Shop. This integrated ecommerce solution integrates not only a shopping cart system but also the whole catalogue browsing system.

Q-Shop allows shop owners to easily manage the shop using the administration web site allowing them, for instance, to easily review orders, track user purchases, get up-to-date user history.

Q-Shop has been fully developed using Active Server Pages (ASP) technology without the use of external components or software that need to be installed. This means that customers receive the whole source code that allows them to modify the system easily avoiding the classical limitation of other systems.

Version 1.1 fixes several bugs and adds some functionality to the previous version. New features include:

Support for tax calculations using European, US and Canadian system.
Shipping cost calculation based on total price or total weight and national/international delivery. Alternatively the cost can be selected from a predefined list of options.
A new level of product sub categories.
