Tax calculation
Q-Shop comes prepared for the tax systems of the U.S.A., European Union and Canada. Additional systems can be added modifying the source code and in many cases you will be able to easily adapt one of the three systems provided.
Tax models available:
- U.S.A
Taxes will be applied only to customers in the same state as the business offices. All other customers will be tax exempt.
- European Union
VAT is fully supported. Each product can have a different VAT rate (or be exempt). Business customer providing a VAT number will be VAT exempt.
Let users save their VAT number in the user details for added convenience.
Non EU customers will be VAT exempt.
It is also possible to display all prices with or without VAT.
- Canada
State taxes will be applied only to customers in the same state as the business offices. National tax will be applied to all Canadian customers. All other customers will be tax exempt.
You can define products that are tax free on an individual basis.
